Kylian Mbappe has been left out of Paris Saint-Germain’s squad for their pre-season tour of Japan.

PSG are convinced that Mbappe already has no intention to renew his contract with the club, according to L’Equipe.

Mbappe, who scored a goal in this Friday’s friendly against Le Havre, could have played his last minutes in the PSG shirt.

The Parisians will reportedly not allow the 24-year-old to play for the club again until he agrees to extend his contract.

According to L’Équipe, PSG also believe that Mbappe has an agreement in place with Real Madrid to join them at the end of his contract.

The player himself has in any case continued to insist that he has no intention of activating the one-year extension clause in the contract he signed last summer.

While PSG would prefer to sell Mbappe in the current transfer window rather than lose him for free next summer, very few clubs in Europe would have the financial capacity to strike a deal with the French champions and meet the striker’s current salary.

Mbappe has been courted by Real Madrid for years and came close to linking up with the Spanish giants last year before signing on with PSG following a late change of heart.

It was reported at the time that Mbappe had signed a three-year deal, however, it was later revealed that the third year of the contract was optional; effectively tying him to PSG until the summer of 2024.

It is believed that Mbappe’s preferred destination would once again be Real Madrid, with the Spanish giants prepared to shelve their interest for 12 months in order to snare him for free.

Acording to Fabrizio Romano the player is now considered for sale by the club.
