Former Liverpool and Spain teammates Alvaro Arbeloa and Fernando Torres were involved in a heated touchline clash as Real Madrid faced Atletico Madrid in an under-19s Champions Cup quarter-final second leg.
A flashpoint occurred when a Real Madrid player was left injured on the floor, but Torres’ Atletico team chose to not pause play. Moments later Arbeloa’s Real side scored, sparking the touchline flare-up. According to Relevo, the two shared words, with Torres saying “I’ll blow your head off”, to which Arbeloa replied with “Start whenever you want”.
Arbeloa received a yellow card, while Torres was sent off in a tie which saw nine yellow cards brandished. Real Madrid went on to win the tie 4-2 on aggregate.
