After 13 years away, Angel Di Maria is back at Benfica.

The Argentine playmaker played for the Primeira Liga side between 2007 and 2010 after moving from Rosario Central in his homeland.

He then joined Spanish giants Real Madrid, with whom he won a league title, two domestic cups and the Champions League.

The Argentine winger spent last season with Serie A side Juventus after seven successful years with Paris Saint-Germain. Between his Real Madrid and PSG spells, Di Maria spent a sole season at Manchester United.

On Sunday Angel Di Maria’s Benfica played Basel on a friendly match at St. Jakob-Park, Switzerland.

Di Maria opened the scoring in his first match since returning to club, finishing a good cross into the penalty area to make it 1-0.

Di Maria later provided an assist as well, after spoting teammate David JuraseK in the opposition with sublime vision and delivery.
