Real Madrid are considering signing 18-year-old attacking midfielder Arda Guler from Fenerbahce, as reported by The Athletic.
The Turkey international matches the profile of Real Madrid’s recent transfer strategy: he is young, talented and available at a price that is seen as reasonable, considering his potential.
Guler has a contract with his current club until 2025 that includes a release clause of €17.5million, which Fenerbahce are asking to be met.
The youngster was more convinced of Real Madrid’s project than Barcelona’s and has rejected the Blaugranas to join Madrid, as the further confirmations from Spanish media outlet Diario AS have informed. Real Madrid’s famous Scout Juni Calafat was the key in the talks.
Real Madrid will pay more than the release clause to ensure a smooth exist from Turkey. Fenerbahce also have included a 20% sell-on fee.
Real Madrid sources expect the Turkish club to accept the offer, as per Fabrizio Romano.
