Tottenham face Leicester City in Thailand’s capital on Sunday before travelling to Singapore to play against Lion City Sailors on Wednesday as they continue their Asia-Pacific pre season tour.
Postecoglou addressed the media ahead of Spurs’ friendly match in Bangkok. At the press conference, a German reporter turned up with a Bayern Munich jersey with ‘Harry Kane 9’ written.
The Tottenham manager was not pleased with the gesture as he slammed the reporter while the press conference was on:
‘Yesterday you said you weren’t that relaxed about the Harry situation, what is your feeling today?’ said the journalist from Bild at the start of the tense exchange.
‘That was two days ago and nothing has changed,’ came the reply, at which point the white Bayern shirt was unfurled for him to see, with Kane 9 printed on the back.
‘What does that look like?’ was the next question. ‘It looks quite good, no?’
Postecoglou was unable to mask his fury. ‘I don’t know what you’re talking about,’ he bristled. ‘Did you get a good laugh? Got what you got? Maybe? Very good, you came a long way for that, thank you.’
Postecoglou recently admitted he ‘wasn’t relaxed’ about the interest in Kane, stating the situation wasn’t helping the striker or the club.
Bayern Munich, Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain have all showed interest in Kane this summer, with the Bundesliga club seeing two bids rebuffed.
Bayern are reportedly preparing a third bid to Bring Harry Kane to Munich this summer.
